The Lumiere brothers

The Lumiere brothers Louis and Auguste were the early film makers. They began working in a photographic firm which was owned by their father Claude-Antoine Lumiere, Louis was a physicist while Auguste as the manager of the company. Louis was very interested in photography and wants to pursue. Soon after their father retired in 1892, the brothers started working on creating moving images by using a number of processes which eventually lead up to their film camera, the most notable object was film perforations which was use to film from a camera and a projector. The cinematographe was first seen on February 13 1895 and showed the first ever footage film with workers leaving the Lumiere factory which was recorded on 19th March 1895. They continued to make various numbers of film from ‘’ La Sortie de l’Usine Lumiere a Lyon to La Voltige which were more noticeable and gain them again. After the film hit theatres the remakes and comment were remarkable which made audiences get out there thinking the train was coming toward them.

George Melies

George Melies was a famous French illusionist and film maker who created technical narrative developments in the early years of cinema. He started working in a shoe shop with his brother where he was tough how to sew and then  was sent to London by his father where he work as a clerk for one of the families friend. During that time he visited a locale shop where he developed a passion as a magician then moved to Paris where he also studied painting and art. A year’s couple later after his father retired he sold the shoe shop to his brother using the money to buy a theatre where he opens locale show despite having little turn up he continue making comedies and pageantry with 30 new illusion for nine years straight. George also began working back stage as a director, producer, writer and costume designer began other famous to join him on stage. During those years he decide to created his first film called a trip to the moon created in 1902 with became very successful and received remarkable comments from movie views. Over the pass years George Melies has created over 500 films around 1896 – 1913 running from 1 – 40 mins which a magic scene tricks happening, disappearing scenes and changing sizes of objects.

Eadweard Muybridge

Eadweard Muybridge was known for creating animal locomotion and motion images. He started of working as a publisher and bookseller for the agent London printing and publishing company in 1855 where he also discover photograph. By discovering he this he was able to work as a professional photographer and became very successful at it by photographing landscape architectural photos using them to create an animal locomotion. In 1872 Eadweard gathered his entire motion image and created the first animal locomotion horse film using different cameras to capture the motion image that is use a projector. By creating this audience around the world though it was spectacular and was the first moving animation alive. A couple years later Muybridge created a much faster motion image by using a zoopraxiscope, he show it to the Royal institution to a set of audience in London which were the Royal family and King Edward who were all fascinated by it. By travelling to France and viewing different motion work he decides to create his very own phenakistoscope using cinematography but sometimes it fail, this was the first phenakistoscope. In his last days he published two books called Animals in Motion (1899) and the human figure in motion (1901).
